Here is the information for camp! Any questions please ask!

DAY CAMP 2025 DATES: Monday June 30th to Friday August 22nd 2025 (no camp Friday July 4th)

Drop off is at the Putnam Valley Middle School (142 Peekskill hollow rd. Putnam Valley NY 10579) Between 7am & 9am (last bus is at 9am sharp)

Day Camp Hours: 7am-4pm (after camp care 3:30-6:00pm)

  1. What to bring to PV Day Camp: (ALL ITEMS SHOULD BE LABELED)
    • Lunch (will be refrigerated when the child gets up to camp unless requested not to)
    • Pizza is served every Friday for Lunch (Thursday July 3rd 2025 Pizza will be served)
    • Snack
    • Bathing Suit
    • Towel
    • Sunscreen/Bug Spray
    • Water bottle (refillable please)
    • Book bag
    • Must wear Sneakers-Everyday

 

What NOT to bring to Camp: (we are not responsible for things they bring from home)

  • CELL PHONES –We have a camp phone. Phones are prohibited.
  • Water guns-Unless it’s wet and wild day
  • Flip flops or crocs
  • Trading cards
  • Toys
  • Electronics

3. Drop off:

Parents will Drop off at the Putnam Valley Middle School (142 Peekskill Hollow rd.)  Children will then be bused up to the camp. Camp buses start at 7am and run every 20 minutes until 9am.

 If you are running late to drop off and miss the last bus at 9am, please call the day camp phone number 845-260-2807 when you get to the bridge before driving up to camp.

  1. Pick up by 4pm:

Parent pick up is at the Putnam Valley Middle School Parking lot. Children will be bused down to the school and should be there between 3:45 and 4pm. After 4pm pickups will be considered after camp care.

 

  1. After 4pm pick up:

Children who stay after camp will be dismissed to the Day Camp cafeteria AT 3:30pm to be served a light snack. After snack at 4pm campers will have the opportunity for free swim from 4:30 to 5:30 (Weather permitting) They will also have the options of gaga ball, basketball, Board games or arts and crafts.  Buses will run from 4:20pm until 6pm (every 20 minutes) Please call the camp phone 845-260-2807 to schedule a time for your child to get on the bus.

 

 

  1. Early pick up / late Drop off:

Please call the Camp to let them know of any early pick up or late drop off. This can be done between the hours of 9:20 and 2:45pm. YOU MUST call 845-260-2807 before driving up the hill.

 

  1. Physicals & Immunization Records:

We require all children who attend PV Day camp to have updated physicals and Immunization records before they can attend our camp.

All records are due no later than June 3rd.

 

  1. A Day At Camp:

Children will go through a rotation schedule with their group at camp. This rotation schedule includes:

 

Art and Crafts- a variety of arts and crafts different each week for each age group. Most arts and crafts will be focused on the event for the week.

 

Nature- Hiking & STEM nature based activities.

 

Ropes-( 7 years old and up) Zip line- Flying squirrel- rope ladder- and a climbing wall. Children under 7 will do large group activities that involves team work

 

Sports- A variety of gym games different each week for each age group

 

 

Pool- Each Monday our Water Safety Instructor (WSI) will swim test all interested children 7 yrs. and up. We will also offer swim assistance on Wednesdays (this will be offered during open swim) If its extremely hot out we will do a double pool. Each group will have the pool rotation twice those days.

 

Snack- & Lunch- EVERYDAY (Friday pizza is provided for Lunch)

 

Create- this rotation will include, but not limited to: acting and improv, creating things, talent   show practice, set design (for events) imaginary play ex. Office or school.  Quick Cooking projects (ice cream in a bag or Jell-O) 

Game Room- Each week they will play and enjoy organized games. Examples:  Board games, pool table, air hockey, ping pong table and card games.

 

TEEN TRAVEL- Grades 6 and up-

 

If your child is not interested in going on the trip, they are more than welcome to stay at camp on these dates. If your child will be going, we require a permission slip one week prior to the trip. We will send out the permission slips the first week of camp. Teen travel is not mandatory it’s an option for all children grades 6 and up.

During these trips the K-5th graders will have on site events

 

We will be offering two trips this year:

 

Week 3- Breakpoint Bowl (6th grade to CIT)                        

Drive in Movie (K-5TH grade)

 

Week 6- Quassy Amusement Park (6th grade to CIT)

Two by Two Animal Haven (K-5TH grade)
