Putnam Valley Day Camp OPEN Wednesday July 8th
Good afternoon PVDC Families,
Putnam Valley Day Camp will be opening tomorrow, Wednesday July 8th. At this time the camp road is clear of trees, wires and debris and we have running water. Power has not been restored yet but we expect it to be soon as the crews have been working on it all day. However, even if we do not have power tomorrow we can still run camp because we have the required running water.
In the event that power has still not come back before camp opens tomorrow we will not have a swimming pool rotation as that requires power to run the filter and safely allow the kids to swim. Also, if the power does not come back before camp opens tomorrow we will not have a refriderator to store campers lunches, so we ask that you put a cold pack in their lunches to keep it cool until lunch time.
We do anticiapte power to be back on but as we know nothing is 100% so we just wanted to give a heads up of what will be happening if it does not.
