Town Hall Closed - Camp Reg. Opens - Tomorrow!

Town Hall will be closed tomorrow, Tuesday, March 24th from 8-11 AM for mandatory training. Camp Registration opens at 8 AM.  Please register by going to: https://Reg.PVPR.com.  We can not take registrations over the phone. Parks and Rec will remain open on a limited basis during training hours to assist with camp registration.

Church Rd at Quincy Closed

Peekskill Hollow Road has been reopened.  However, Church Road is now closed at Quincy due to a downed tree.  Please take an alternate route.

Winter Weather Update

The State of Emergency has been rescinded, however, due to the ongoing cleanup and icy conditions,  Town Hall will open two hours later than usual at 10 AM on Tuesday, February 24th, 2026.  Please use caution and allow extra time traveling this morning.  Thank you to all who worked tirelessly throughout the storm to keep everyone safe!

❄️ Winter Weather Update ❄️

Due to the severity of the storm, the State of Emergency remains in effect. Putnam Valley Town Hall and all non-essential Town offices and facilities will remain closed on Monday, February 23, 2026. Any updates will be provided as conditions improve. The Putnam Valley Highway Department has been actively plowing and treating roads and will continue operations throughout the day. This storm has produced heavy snow and challenging conditions. With the added impact of wind and ongoing cleanup efforts, residents are asked to stay off the roads unless absolutely necessary to allow crews and emergency services to operate safely and efficiently. Stay well and warm!

State of Emergency in Effect

Snow has intensified across the area.  Town and county crews have been working continuously to keep roads as clear as possible.  Tinker Hill Rd. is closed for the remainder of the storm.  The State of Emergency remains in effect until further notice and unnecessary travel is prohibited to allow crews and emergency personnel to do their work safely.

Blizzard Warning

A State of Emergency has been declared for Putnam Valley, and A Blizzard Warning has been issued for Putnam County, which means you could expect strong winds accompanied by falling and/or blowing snow, resulting in reduced visibility for three or more hours. Snowfall will begin in Putnam County today, February 22 at 1:00 p.m., but the strongest winds and blizzard conditions are expected Sunday night into Monday. Between 14 - 22 inches of snow is expected with snowfall rates up to 2 inches per hour at times. Visibility will be low and travel will become dangerous. Temperatures will feel as low as 14 degrees Fahrenheit. Wind gusts of up to 45 mph are expected. Strong winds and the weight of snow may bring down trees and power lines.  It is recommend that all travel on the roadways in the Town of Putnam Valley is restricted to emergency vehicles, Town Highway Department vehicles, utility vehicles, local travel and essential emergency personnel. All unessential travel should be avoided.If needed, The German American Club will be used as a warming center.  In case of emergency, dial 911.Town Hall will be closed tomorrow, Monday, February 23rd 2026.
