Good morning PVCC Families,

We have just received the email from the school district anticipating half days on the last 2 days of school in June.  We received this email on Tuesday at the same time as the parents and families.  Since we do not work for the school district, we receive notifications at the same time as the families, not a moment before.  

When the school calendar comes out, we mark down the half and full days off and plan accordingly for staffing, supplies and acitivities.  However, when there are last minute changes such as these 2 half days we just do not have the capability to pull together half day cares.  Our staff have other jobs, most of which are with the school district, and cannot take off to work the hours necessary to provide the half day care.  When we have the schedule in advance, our staff make arrangements to become available to work for us.
