Shelter In Place Drill
Good Morning,
We are required by the Office of Children and Family Services to conduct two shelter in place drills per year. I am required to inform our client families that we are conducting these drills. We do a drill in the fall and spring each school year.
We will be conducting a shelter in place drill in both the AM/PM centers One day after the Spring Recess. We will discuss with the children why we might have to shelter in place and what we would do during the time we were at school. We will then go into the hall way and sit quietly for a short time (this is when we will have the discussion) and then the drill is complete and recorded.
