Hi Folks,

The PVCC is offering child care this fall on days that the school is closed or have an early dismissal.  The dates are Nov 5-offering full day care, Nov 8-offering full day care, and Nov 14 th- offering half day care. 

On November 5 we are offering child care from 7 am-6 pm.  On this day, we travel to the Bronx Zoo.  We have been doing this for many years now.  The zoo is great that day because it is empty!  The NYC schools are in session that day- so we have the zoo pretty much to ourselves.  We travel in small groups of 1 adult to 5 children and we travel with a buddy group.  This allows us to have 2 adults with the group. We purchase the Total Experience package which gets us into all exhibits.  Most of my seasoned staff travels on this day because it's such a fun day.  We  go to the zoo rain or shine.  Last year it poured during the morning (which was a first!) but we still had a fun filled day!

November 8th we are open 7 am- 6 pm.  On this day we are doing a Harry Potter themed day.  We will all dress up as our houses and the day will revolve around the theme-snacks-crafts- and competitions.  Toniann Cortina does all the planning and the kids and staff have a wonderful time.

November 14th is a half day dismissal. We will be having an italian festival-sort of like the Gennaro festival Toniann told us!  I know we are making pizza and I have been told to work on my italian grandma get up! Can't wait to see this one!
