Hi All,

Hope you had a wonderful Thanksgiving with your families.

I apologize for being a bit lengthy, please bear with me :)

NYS regulations require SACC programs to conduct 2 Shelter in Place drills each school year and the parents of our program must be notified prior to us conducting the drill.  So please consider yourselves notified! 

The Shelter in Place drill will be conducted on Tuesday, November 29th in all of our programs-AM, PM, and Middle School.  The children will be alerted to an event that is requiring us to stay put inside the building.  We usually try to keep the reason we are sheltering in place  light so that we don't scare any of the little guys.  We then discuss what we have to do in this event-we end the drill in the hallway outside of our main rooms-with the children facing the wall and their head in their arms-this is what they do at school.  The entire drill takes approximately 10 minutes in length.  If you arrive to pick up your child at this time, I am asking that you let them complete the drill please.

Each year at this time I reach out to our families regarding showing their appreciation to the staff for the holidays.  The Children's Center staff consists of 26 people, too many to gift individually!   I am asking you folks to consider making a monetary donation to our staff for the holidays and then I will take them all out on you!  Last year we went to the Cortlandt Colonial for Sunday Brunch and it was wonderful!  You can give your donations to our Site Supervisors Annie, Toni, and Vickie before the holiday break.
