PV Children's Center Message
Hi All,
NYS Regulations require SACC (School Age Child Care Programs) to conduct two Shelter In Place Drill per year as of 6/1/15 We must complete one before the end of 2015 We will be conducting these drills in our PM programs on Monday, 11/16 and Friday 11/20 in the AM program The drill will be 8-10 minutes in length from start to finish I am required to notify my client families when I am conducting a drill
A Shelter In Place drill is when we must stay put in our sites because some variable is not allowing you to get to us to pick up your child In the event that we had to initiate this drill, you will be notified by our mass email system, it will be broadcast over WHUD and by the school phone system We will stay put in the building, possibly relocating to a safer area, and relying on our and the schools food resources We would keep the children calm and safe until you can get to us
Again, we will be conducting a Shelter in Place drill next week in all of our programs
